Founder's Note

Spartan Matriculation Higher Secondary School, founded in the 70s stands today as an institution of academic learning, that can be compared with the best in Chennai, having excelled in the fields of academics, sports and extra-curricular activities, and remains firmly committed to the cause of education, in tune with the emerging needs of the present. Education is a continuous process, and it must blossom from firm and broad foundation. The aim of the school is to encourage a love for learning among the students and inculcate in them a desire to excel at every level. It is in the vibrant and competitive atmosphere of the school that the students of Spartan develop a professional attitude and vigor, which distinguish them from students of other schools. Students developtheir own abilities and talents, and discover their individual and teaming potential to the fullest, supported by excellent facilities, exposure and guidance by a highly motivated and dedicated faculty. The social and moral values that are built gradually into students help promote confidence, direction, and critical thinking skills, leading to the development of a well-integrated personality. Since inception, all-round development has been the key word of the school. The Management, Staff and Parents of Spartan Group of Schools contributed Rs.20,00,000/- towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund during the Kerala Floods to NORKA Special officer Ms. Ann Chacko.

A well appointed Junior Computer Laboratory with 25 Talking Computers for children to play, learn and be initiated to Computers.
A well equipped Toy-room of 1,000 Sq.ft. area, with a small library.
A well laid-out outdoor play space with the most modern play-kit including a “Satellite”.
A neatly laid out Children’s Park, caged love-birds and aquarium to help children grow-up with the natural flora and fauna.
In short, an absolutely tension-free informal atmosphere.
Play-way method adopting the Froebel System is followed.
